Assistance with the BEAD Challenge Process

We're aware that several of our clients are facing a fast approaching challenge process involving potential overbuild for their wireless networks. As such, they are required to provide detailed information to the BEAD program in an attempt to protect their territory and prevent overbuild.

As of this moment there are a few reports available via TowerCoverage that can assist in providing part of the required data.

Location ID's for a given wireless network can be provided through the Availability Data order type or the Address List order Type.

Prior to placing the order you'll need to create a Multi Map for your wireless access points and have current CostQuest Fabric Data uploaded into your account.

How to Access the FCC's Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric

Max Advertised Up and Max Advertised Down come with Availability Data, and can be entered as throughput values via the FCC Tab in your TowerCoverage account.

Keep in mind that these values are assigned to every access point in a given Multi Map. If you have access points that cannot achieve the assigned level of throughput, separate them accordingly and place an order for multiple maps.

If you need to provide Signal Strength you can use our Bulk Upload feature to analyze an address list as End User Submissions. Those entries can then be downloaded, and the Signal Strength will be available in the report.

EUS Bulk Uploads require a minimum of a tier 4 account, and may require a much higher tier depending on how many API calls you would need to complete the project. Each EUS entry would consume one API call. API calls renew monthly. See our current tier chart for the amount of API calls available per tier.

The Comment Section in an EUS Bulk Upload can be used for MISC information. Anything placed in the Comments of an EUS Data entry will be available via the EUS Download.
